I like your shot, the colour makes the dragonfly stand out from the back ground. The reason for the left wings being slightly blurred is due to your position not being square to the subject. DOF is millimetres at this apperture and you couldn't get any more DOF to make any difference.
Ashwin: I shot at f/3.5. Maybe if I had stopped down to 5.6 or 6.3 the wings would have been in complete focus. Yeah, I may not have been completely parallel either. Thanks for the comment.
I don't think DOF is a problem here, except the light colour of the bark diminishes the impact of the dragonfly here. A darker background would have made a better picture, but then, guess you were restricted by where the dragonfly was perching on

Ashwin: Thanks Engloy. The tree seems to be their favorite perch. The females of the species are found on the same tree too.
